Projects and Experience

Sutro Energy Group works with clients who are passionate about transitioning to a sustainable economy through clean technology investment, research, and program development. We serve a variety of clients:
  • Individual and family office investors seeking assistance with market research and cleantech deal diligence;
  • Foundations looking to invest endowment or philanthropic capital in clean energy;
  • Organizations in need of project management or conference planning services.

Past projects include:
  • Report management and conference planning. Sutro Energy Group managed the day-to-day aspects of "The State Clean Energy Cookbook" project, a joint effort of Stanford's Steyer-Taylor Center for Energy Policy and Finance and Hoover Institution. Tasks included primary research, conference agenda planning, recruiting conference attendees and speakers, chapter drafting, and managing the final design and publication of the report.
  • Survey implementation and analysis. On behalf of a San Francisco policy firm, Sutro Energy Group designed and implemented a survey of cleantech investors, recruited participants, and prepared an analysis of the results with recommendations on how to encourage more investment in the space.
  • Project diligence and management. Prior to the founding of Sutro Energy Group, Ms. Schuetz performed diligence on potential emissions reduction projects for TerraPass. For qualified projects, she managed all aspects of data collection and verification to maximize return to the project owner through the sale of carbon offsets.
